Where do I start?

  • To attend a class, we ask you to register. In order to best fit you with a pair of shoes, we will need your shoe size and weight.

Are the classes hard?

  • As with all good things, practice makes perfect. The cool thing about these bad boys is that you can take the bounce to whatever intensity you want – and still get an amazing workout. You’ll never fly unless you try.

What to expect from a rebounding on rebound shoes class?

  • It is an explosive, highly motivating program, specifically designed to challenge the whole body by building muscular strength and cardio-respiratory endurance simultaneously. Each movement is designed to focus on core stability, ensuring a balanced workout that will challenge even the fittest. Basic moves are easy to follow and can be performed with growing complexity and intensity, as you progress. This program suits a broad range of class attendees regardless of age and fitness level. It is also great for athletes, due to its use of plyometric explosive techniques, using Kangoo Jumps rebound shoes to maximize effort, while preventing damaging impact to the joints.

I have bad knees. Are the shoes safe to use?

  •  Rebound shoes were originally developed for joggers, runners and athletes, to help reduce the impact associated with vigorous athletic activity. The biggest problem for most sports is the excess strain on joints due to repeated impact. The patented Impact Protection System (IPS) of the shoes not only helps increase impact time, it also reduces the impact stress by up to 80% while protecting ankles, knees, hips, lower back, and spine.

Am I going to break my ankle?

  • The hard shell boot locks the foot in place and aids in realigning the ankle. Because the shoes are approximately 6 inches higher than normal shoes and the soles are laterally flat, it makes it instinctive to correct foot position even when you do not land with proper biomechanics- so you will not twist that ankle, don't worry!

Will I fall; it looks like it would be pretty easy to fall off those boots?

  • No, you will not fall. These are not Go-Go Gadget Shoes that will bounce you off into orbit, we promise! :-) The first couple seconds, yes, you will need to adjust your posture to get your balance but after that you will feel great. The rebound springs only offer a small bounce to them. The way the boots are designed is to help you with your posture. Good posture equals a good time on the boots, and no falling. This is one of the great benefits of the boots. They help you build a better posture. You will look taller and leaner from using the shoes just because of the way you hold yourself after. The boots help build your core strength and elongate your spine which is great for anyone with a sore back from hunching over at an office all day.

Am I going to bounce my head into the ceiling or bounce too high?

  •  No, you will not! :-) The shoes have a rebound technology. If you have ever tried one of the mini trampolines, you know that they don’t offer much height in your bounce. It is more of light bounce that reduces impact on your joints. Same as rebound shoes. They won’t spring you 5 feet in the air; you will bounce only a few inches off the ground in class.

I'm uncoordinated! There is no way I can stand up on those shoes!

  • Yes, you can! You may feel like the most uncoordinated person in the world but after a few classes, you will have balance, coordination and flexibility you didn’t think possible before. Due to the inherent nature of the design, the shoes encourage proper posture in order to maintain balance and coordination while performing aerobic exercises or running.

What should I wear to class?

  • Wear any fitness gear that you feel comfortable in. For women who need it, we recommend wearing a high-impact sports bra for optimal comfort.

What should I bring?

  • A pair of long socks, water bottle and a towel.

Should I arrive a little early before my first class?

  • Before your first class, we ask you to sign a waiver. Please arrive a few minutes early to have time to read it and sign it.

I am pregnant. Can I attend a class?

  • Congratulations on your baby!  It is not safe to attend jump classes during pregnancy but please come as soon as your doctor clears you for exercise after giving birth. Kangoo Jumps exercise will help you get back in shape very fast!

My childcare fell through last minute. Can I bring my child?

  • We are a child friendly environment. You are welcome to bring your child as long as there will be no distraction to other participants. If your child is 6+ years old, please let us know, as we have shoes for children as well.
